Joan was in her late 60s when she first experienced back pain.
JOAN STRUGGLED WORKING IN THE GARDEN AND GETTING IN AND OUT OF VEHICLES. Thinking that her core was weak, Joan joined a health club and hired a personal trainer.
Despite working out, her back pain did not go away. Surely the pain must subside, she thought.
3 months passed and she still had back pain.
6 months passed and she still had back pain.
2 years passed and she still had back pain. Back pain became part of Joan’s existence and SHE SUFFERED EVERYDAY. Joan forgot what it was like not to be in pain.
Then Joan started training at Core Fitness.
The trainers at Core Fitness told Joan she needed to strengthen her core. Joan’s workouts were tailored specifically for her body, and were very different than anything she tried previously.
Joan started to feel better after several months of training. HER BACK STARTED TO FEEL LOOSER and she was able to move without pain. Gardening did not remind her she had back pain! Getting up and down did not remind her she had back pain!
Joan was displaced from her home after Super Storm Sandy. Her home flooded, and in order to make it livable again, she had to move furniture, paint, and clean. Joan hired contractors, but also contributed to much of the work, AND SHE WAS IN HER 70s!
During this laborious process, Joan still found time to do core exercises.
This is Joan’s story, and we hope it inspires you.
